Thursday.
Our last full day of the week.
Thank goodness...
I love what Im doing.
But the days are long and Im a tired old lady.
(Grin)

But waking up to this is pretty amazing .....
So I guess I can't really complain.

So this is just what the early morning BOMA clean looks like....
Sorting eating branches from untouched ones...
The eaten ones go off on the tractor to a secret location
(Im sure its not really a secret I just don't know where they go lol)
The uneaten ones stay where they are and are added to the fresh ones that they bring out
every morning.

In the morning the first thing that the guides do with the Ellies is take them
down to a small area and work with them...going over commands and reconfirming their
bonds ....
Then they take them on "Morning walk" where they walk them the park a few times...
sometimes tourists come and do the walk with them and if there are none signed
up they often ask the staff if they'd like to come along.
Ann and I plan on doing this before we leave as we've heard its amazing.

                                                                         BUTTS.
                                                           The cutest little butts ever.

                                                                    Keisha and Madiwa ....
Just saying hi to each other and checking out what each other is munching on
(I know that bc we had this awesome presentation today all about behavior Ethograms..
which I will get more into later on this week ... It was super informative)

Just a few flowers in the field ....

                                                             Andddddddd one more .....

We try to go for walks after our work day around 5:30 ....when the
Ellies are in the night camp safe and sound .... and we have the freedom to roam
wherever wed like .... It really is a beautiful place ...

Thats it for now ....
Tonight we have an BOMA observation all nighter ...which means we have
shifts spread out all night long ...Ann and my shift is 1:00Am - 2:45Am
Which blows lol.....
(wish us luck...hopefully we won't be too old and pass out lol )
But lucky tomorrow is a half day so well be done around 12 !!!
Until tomorrow !!!
